Baba by Rampuri

Baba, an autobiography of a blue-eyed yogi is a fascinating account of a spiritual journey by Rampuri. Although this book reads like a fast-paced adventure story, it is a true account of a 19-year old American (the son of a Beverly Hills pediatric surgeon) who in the late 1960s set off for India in search of the truth. He stumbled into the presence of Hari Puri Baba, a yogi in the ancient order of the Juna Akara, Renunciates of the Ten Names. The Baba shaved his head, initiated him and gave him the name Rampuri. After that, the young man embarked on a discipleship unlike anything he had ever imagined. This book is a must-read for the serious seeker.
