Ritual Bathing Conch w/Stand

Used for bathing images of the Lord during puja and for offering water during arati, the conch is the only animal shell pure enough to use in Hindu worship. Considered one of the weapons of Lord Vishnu, conches symbolize divine vibration and embody Mother Lakshmi, the Goddess of auspiciousness. Its very presence is purifying and all places of pilgrimage exist within it. Seeing and touching a conch is also believed to destroy one’s sins. Hand engraved with auspicious designs by artisans in West Bengal. Includes a brass stand. About 5 1/2″ long
